On April 8, Dripping Springs will experience a total solar eclipse. Because this total solar eclipse is such a unique event, we can expect a large number of visitors to Dripping Springs, not only to watch the once-in-a-lifetime event in our city, but also as people travel through our area to get to other eclipse destinations.

To help ease traffic congestion and to create safe gathering place to watch the eclipse, we’re closing down a part of Mercer Street for our sunBLOCK Party. Along with being a safe location, we’ll also have music and food. To help offset the expenses the City will incur for the influx of visitors, the City of Dripping Springs is providing sponsorship opportunities for area businesses as well as vendor opportunities. Interested in being a vendor? If you are an organization or business, we have a limited number of vendor spaces available. Here are the parameters of being a vendor:

  • Space is for non-profit organizations or businesses. We have a limited number of craft spaces available.

  • Must be a LOCAL organization or business.

  • Vendor fee is $125.

  • Must be present for entire event: Monday, 10:00am-6:00pm.

  • Space includes SPACE ONLY, no tent. Spaces are located on Mercer Street.

  • There is no electricity provided.

  • Only one 10’ x 10’ space available per organization.

  • Along with promoting your organization or business, booths must also include an element of eclipse education or items related to space, eclipses, astronomy or science. Vendors may only sell or give away eclipse-related items except NO Eclipse Glasses.* All eclipse items must be approved. This application is NOT FOR FOOD vendors.   • If you are planning on selling eclipse items, you must list what those are. 

  • Note: Be prepared for cash-only. Cell service and POS systems may be affected (ie: square, etc.) due to the number of people.
